Team Member Deep Dive

Nicholas Lanham is a Strategic Analyst at Concept Blue, where he brings deep expertise in enterprise platform development, data strategy, and artificial intelligence gained through high-impact leadership roles across the Department of Defense. His career has been defined by building and scaling transformative digital capabilities that enable data-driven decision-making at the highest levels of government and industry.

Most recently, Nick served as Director of the Enterprise Platforms and Data (EPAD) division at KAIROS, Inc., where he led efforts to develop, deliver, and scale enterprise platform, data, and AI capabilities for government and commercial customers. Prior to that role, he served as lead engineer for the OSD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Algorithmic Warfare Directorate, where he drove critical AI and algorithmic initiatives.

Nick’s tenure with CDAO also included serving as Enterprise Platforms and Capabilities division chief and Deputy Program Manager for the Advana program—a platform he cofounded. In this capacity, he led product management for the Deputy Secretary of Defense Executive Analytic application suite and oversaw one of the Department’s largest data ingestion efforts through the Data as a Service (DaaS) team. This work required close collaboration with the DoD Chief Data Officer and CDAO communities to iterate and scale complex data integration initiatives.

Before joining CDAO, Nick supported the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where he contributed to the Enterprise Data & Business Performance Directorate. He also served with OSD CAPE as a weapon system cost analyst, focusing on data collection and analytical automation, and held the position of Director of Cost Research for the Naval Center for Cost Analysis (NCCA).

Nick is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Maryland University College. He has earned Level III Financial Management certification from the DoD Financial Management Certification Program, Level III certification in business-cost estimating from the Defense Acquisition University, and has been honored with the Secretary of Defense Meritorious Civilian Service Award. Known for his strategic vision and ability to execute complex technical programs, Nick is a catalyst for innovation and operational excellence at Concept Blue.
